How can I join the Type A Gas Appliance Servicing course?

Detector Inspector is now offering qualified plumbers in Victoria the opportunity to get their Type A Appliance Servicing accreditation through an exclusive, in-house program run by its partner registered training organization. Become an employee, we’ll cover the course fees, and you’ll get paid while you train!

Course overview

Through a combination of online learning and in-house practical training at Detector Inspector’s purpose-built facilities, you will meet all the requirements for the CPCGS4022 and Restricted Electrical License course work. You will learn how to test, diagnose and repair faults on domestic and commercial Type A gas appliances. These appliances include ducted heaters, wall furnaces, hot water services, space heaters and cookers.

Once you successfully complete the course, you will have a nationally recognised Type A Appliance Servicing registration with the Victorian Building Authority and a Restricted Electrical License.


Requirements

To enrol in our Type A Appliance Servicing course, you will need to meet the below requirements.

  • Hold registration/license in the Gasfitting work class
  • National Police Check – displaying clean record
  • Valid driver’s license
